1. Do my files get moved or imported?
No. Your files stay exactly where they are in Finder or Windows Explorer. Weavelyn creates visual references to them. Click any node to open the file in its default app.
2. What if I move or rename a file?
Weavelyn stores the original file path. If you move or rename a file, the node will show a warning icon indicating the file can't be found at its original location. You can update the reference or remove the node.
3. Can I share projects with colleagues?
Yes. Export projects as self-contained bundles that include all files and metadata. Recipients can import and see your entire canvas structure with all relationships intact.
4. Does Weavelyn work offline?
Yes. Your files and case data never leave your device — no cloud, no internet required for daily use. Internet is only needed once to activate your license.
5. What platforms does Weavelyn support?
Mac (Apple Silicon) and Windows. Same features on both platforms.
6. What is Critical Path Detection?
Critical Path analyzes document connections and shows a percentage score on each node indicating its importance to your case. The more relationships a document has to other key files, the higher its score. Find your most important evidence in seconds.
7. What is Privilege Shield?
Privilege Shield automatically flags potentially privileged documents based on filename patterns and tags you define. Flagged files display an orange shield icon on the canvas, making them easy to identify and remove before export. Customize trigger terms like "privileged," "draft," "attorney" in preferences.
8. Is my client data secure?
Absolutely. Weavelyn runs entirely on your machine. No cloud storage, no data transmitted to our servers, no account required to use the app. Your client files never leave your control.
9. What's included in the free trial?

10. Is this a subscription?
No. One-time purchase, yours forever. Future updates to version 1.x are included free.
11. Do you offer team licenses?

12. Can I transfer my license to a new computer?
Yes. Deactivate from your old machine in Preferences, then activate on your new machine. Or contact support if your old machine is inaccessible.
